Hinkley Point < West East >
Over view

This is one of the premier Cod venues in the British Isles and regularily throws up a fish in the 9.5 Kilos (201b) class.

Fishing is from steep low water reefs onto broken ground. Tackle losses can be high. The reefs stretch from the Power Station right up to Stolford.

At prime times the reef can be packed with anglers so avoid weekends.

The tidal pull on the bigger tides is strong, so a gripper is essential. Prime months for Cod are October through to March.
