very rough ground marks, with fishing from high reefs onto
broken ground.
Quantoxhead
is the area to the left of the big bay, fishing here is from
shallower reefs. Expect high tackle losses. Suited to experienced
good casters. Definitely a winter venue.

- Low water to three hours back.There is potential for high
water fishing in the bay.
Tides
in the 4.5 to 5.5 metres are best.

Cod
in the 1.5 to 9 Kilos (3 to 20 lb) range are common, as are
Thornback Ray, Whiting, Pouting and some hefty Conger Eels.

Pennell rigs with lead lifts.Use hooks that will bend out
and not snap if they become snagged.Rotten bottom is a worthwhile
option.

M5,
Junction 25, to Taunton, A358 to Williton, A39 towards
Bridgwater. At Kilve, turn left at The Hood Arms pub, follow
this lane over several sleeping policemen. Park in the car
park by the stone work, walk through the kissing gate across
the field onto the front.

In the car park at the end of the lane.

A
potentially dangerous venue, with several cut off points,
especially the left hand reefs, the water will run in behind
you and bubble up through the reefs.
Don't Fish alone at night.
Take a secondary light source, it can be slippery and dangerous.
